Orlando Gay Chorus Welcomes Representative Anna Eskamani Among New Board Members

ORLANDO, Fla., June 14, 2021 -- The Orlando Gay Chorus today announced the addition of three new board members including Florida State House of Representatives member Anna Eskamani. Rep. Eskamani has been a champion for LGBT+ rights, helped many navigate the COVID-19 crisis, and acts as a voice for Florida House District 47 and beyond.  Rep. Eskamani’s plethora of experience with the nonprofit sector and her passion for both the LGBT+ community and the arts makes her the ideal board member.

Representative Anna Eskamani joins the Orlando Gay Chorus Board with fellow new directors Christina Hollerbach and John Teixeira.

Christina Hollerbach is Chief Executive Officer of Hollerbach’s Willow Tree Cafe, Magnolia Square Market, and Outfitters in Sanford.  Hollerbach is also the President of the Wayne Densch Performing Arts Center. Christina’s involvement with many other organizations and involvement with other Boards of Directors makes her a perfect addition to OGC’s board of directors.

John Teixeira is the Vice President of Marketing for LSQ Funding Group.  Teixeira has taken on the role of the Public Relations and Marketing Chair for the Orlando Gay Chorus.  In his spare time, John is the Orlando General Manager of Varsity Gay League. He also performs with Opera Orlando and CFCArts.  OGC is thrilled to have John on the Board.

The announcement of additional board members coincides with other new developments for the chorus including the launch of an updated website and the production of My Portraits of Pulse at the Dr. Phillips Front Yard Festival on June 8, 2021, at 8 pm, which will later be broadcast to the world as part of the Gay and Lesbian Association of Choruses (GALA) online offerings this summer.
