2013 We’re Ready for Our Close-up! Concert Silent Auction

For those attending our spring concert, We’re Ready for Our Close-up! on May 18 and May 19 at The Plaza Live Theatre, we want to tell you about some exciting changes in our silent auction procedures. We’ve heard your feedback so we created what we hope is a fun, user friendly, Silent Auction.

For some items, we’ve switched to a Silent Raffle!  Here’s how it works:

Purchase Silent Raffle tickets as you enter the theatre or at any time prior to the end of intermission.  Tickets are priced at $5 each, or 5 for $20.  Look over the items on display, then place as many tickets as you wish in the bowl in front of each item.  The more tickets you place with a particular item, the better the chance you have of winning!  Tickets will continue to be sold before the concert and throughout intermission. The winning ticket numbers will be posted in the lobby at the end of the concert.

For top-valued items, we’ve switched to a “single sealed-bid” process. We’ve made it easy to bid on those great vacation packages and other terrific items by just filling out a bid form with your highest bid, fold it so that no one can see it, then drop it into the box next to the item on the table.  Winners will be announced in the lobby at the end of the concert.

Thank you for your support of the Orlando Gay Chorus.  Our silent auctions are one of our biggest fundraisers each concert season, and we hope that these changes will make the process both easier and more fun for you.  Good luck!

OFFICIAL RULES

SUGGESTED MINIMUM DONATION $5 PER TICKET.  NO PURCHASE NECESSARY TO ENTER OR TO WIN. A PURCHASE WILL NOT IMPROVE YOUR CHANCES OF WINNING. ALL FEDERAL, STATE, LOCAL AND MUNICIPAL LAWS AND REGULATIONS APPLY. VOID WHERE PROHIBITED. THIS RAFFLE IS SPONSORED AND OPERATED BY ORLANDO GAY CHORUS, INC.

Eligibility: Subject to the additional restrictions below, the Silent Raffle (the "Raffle") is open to Central Florida residents (who reside in the counties of Orange, Seminole, Osceola, Brevard, Lake, Marion, Sumter, Volusia or Polk), 21 years or older at the time of entry.

How To Enter: Raffle tickets may be purchased at each concert.  Ticket sales will end at the conclusion of the intermission of each concert, and winners will be announced at the end of each concert.

Entry: Tickets for the raffle are available at the Orlando Gay Chorus performances on Saturday, May 18, 2013, 7:30pm or Sunday, May 19, 4:30pm at The Plaza LIVE, 425 North Bumby Avenue, Orlando, FL 32803.  Suggested donation is $5 per ticket. 

Winner Selection: Winners will be selected on Saturday, May 18 and on Sunday, May 19 immediately following intermission of the Orlando Gay Chorus concert.  Winners will be posted in the lobby of the theatre at the conclusion of the concert.

Prizes and Odds: All prizes are donated to the Raffle by members or supporters of the Orlando Gay Chorus.  Odds of winning are dependent on the number of tickets cast for each item.

Winners are solely responsible for reporting and payment of any taxes on prizes. For a copy of these Official Rules, send a self-addressed, stamped envelope to: Ticket Raffle, "Official Rules Request", Orlando Gay Chorus, P. O. Box 3103, Orlando, Florida 32802.

Participation: By participating, entrants agree to be bound by these Official Rules and the decisions of the Sponsor, Orlando Gay Chorus, Inc., which shall be final in all respects. Sponsor reserves the right to disqualify persons found tampering with or otherwise abusing any aspect of this Raffle as solely determined by Sponsor.

Construction: The invalidity or unenforceability of any provision of these rules shall not affect the validity or enforceability of any other provision. In the event that any such provision is determined to be invalid or otherwise unenforceable, these rules shall be construed in accordance with their terms as if the invalid or unenforceable provision was not contained therein.

Sponsor: The Ticket Raffle is sponsored by Orlando Gay Chorus, Inc. The decisions of Sponsor and Raffle judges regarding the selection of winners, the interpretation of these Official Rules and all other aspects of the Raffle shall be final and binding in all respects. Sponsor will not be responsible for typographical, printing or other inadvertent errors in these Official Rules or in other materials relating to the Raffle.
