Special Events

Rehearsing and presenting the Orlando Gay Chorus' two to three main concerts each season takes time, planning, collaboration and hard work...but it's not the only thing that we do throughout the year.

Fundraising is a continuous endeavor with the chorus. And not all of it includes research and writing! Our Fundraising Events in the community include hosting Silent Auctions at our main concerts, producing and performing our Cabaret Shows in venues around Orlando, organizing Raffles for our our patrons and supporters and, periodically, recording and releasing a new CD of our music.

Many of OGC's special events are about giving back. Our Outreach Events include a number of Community Performances annually to benefit like-minded organizations and causes that are dear to our hearts. The chorus also hosts Festival Booths and participates each year in two extremely worthwhile charitable events - since 1990 with the U.S. Marine Corps Toys For Tots Drive and since 1992 with the Children's Home Society of Central Florida's Thanksgiving Food Drive.
